After a long hot summer Even though I live and breath gardening, by the time summer is over, I'm exhausted and wonder why I bother. The Australian hot dry is so exasperating. The garden, no matter how much water is pumped into it looks fried. I walked around last week and came inside and nearly cried. Then it rained. Only a few mm, but a few mm from the sky has given me and the garden a healthy reprieve from the heat. I was looking through some old pictures of the garden for some inspiration and found a before and after picture of the Gold Garden. Gold Garden 2007 Gold Garden 20018 It's amazing how things change in a few years. So with the recent rain and the changing of the seasons I'm keen to get back into shaping the place. The list of jobs is growing by the day and I can't wait to get some time to get things done. With the goal in mind to have our second official Open Garden in December linked with a charity again I'm sure even those who visited last year will be surprised at the difference a year can make.
Yes I'm finally feeling inspired and hope I've inspired you. Happy Digging.
